why don't you just bookmark it? Or set it as home page?

this is a pain in the ass

ok well I did a couple of googles and came up with what sounds like your problem. It sounds like the IGetNet spyware/parasite

here is one sample page for its removal

http://www.spy-bot.net/IGetNet.asp

but there are plenty of others.

I also recommend adaware or Spybot search & destroy to prevent and cleanup such stuff

The only thing i can think of that affects IE a lot are spyware. Try downloading adaware or spybot and see if theres any spyware.

no need to close it. it would be interesting to hear back if that sorts your problem

edit: don't forget to make adaware update itself and if you haven't downloaded the new version from this year you will be using last years reference file as the new ref file is incompatible

Damn you beat me Masseur

To update Spybot jus click search for updates and then install the new ones. It may be the same for Adaware.

@jim, you're right and I always run spybot right after adaware although I have adaware pro (the one you pay for) which comes with ad-watch which is supposed to keep on eye on spyware in real time.

Spybot does often find a few things that adaware doesn't find but I have also found the reverse is true

together they are great!
