Nextlink Bluespoon Home - Tried |

Just received the Bluespoon Home box, that allows you to connect your bluetooth headset to a standard phone line.
I've been waiting for something like this for a very long time.
Small box, only 3" x 4".
Really easy to pair the phone with upto 5 headsets.
Answers the landline from your headset - Neat!
To make calls you have to use a regular phone to dial the number, and then you can take-over with the headset.
Works very well, except for the echo though. Caller on the other side can hear me fine. But i get lot's of echo on my side. Kind of annoying!
Anyone else tried this one out? |

OK,
Here's another update, just incase anyone is interested....
This unit 'sucks' bigtime!
The echo makes the damn thing un-useable.
Switched from my HBH30 to my trusty HBH65, and the echo is a little better, but the sound is worse. Furthermore, it just loses sound after about 1 minute. The headset is still connected to the unit, and the unit to the phoneline, but the audio is all dead!
Wierd.
And Nextlink market themselves as a 'high end' manufacturer?
Perhaps they should test their products before they ship them! |

I am trying to use a PlantronicsM3000 with the bluespoonhome and although answering an incoming call is possible, I can not use the headset to make it open the phone line.
can anybody find this device listed as an approved bluetooth product on qualweb.bluetooth.org? i can not. |
