One of our mobile network companies (MTN) has rolled out GPRS here in South Africa. However, they have only tested with PC connections and WAP so far & are unable to assist me.

I have tried the desktop settings on my Palm, but I have had no joy. I have looked through this forum, and others, Palm's web site, but nothing has worked. Can anyone assist or make suggestions.

If need be,I can post the desktop settings, and maybe from there someone can help me.

Please help me link my palm M515 to my Ericsson T68 so I can use GPRS here through my Palm

wish I could, but I've been having the same problem with my Sony T615 and Ericsson T39 here in the States on Voicestream.

You can try these links . . .

http://www.palm.com/fi/mobile/gprs.html

http://www.e-ideas.com.sg/phonesetup/pdf/PalmInternetoverGPRS.pdf;jsessionid=3153611018929626531

. . . but the farthest I've gotten is to get the Palm to connect to the GPRS, yet with one exception (I once sent an outgoing email from the Palm) I haven't been able to do anything online or navigate anywhere with email programs (Eudora, Aileron, Thin Air) or browsers (Eudora Web, Avant Go, Blazer).

Until Voicestream makes their network transparent to hardware, the best solution may be to buy more minutes and connect the PDA to an old-fashioned dialup via modem.

Well, not that this will help you, but I managed to conenct an iPAQ (3870) over bluetooth to my T68m and browse over MTN's GPRS service. I have no idea what is required with the palm, but the tricky steps with the iPAQ were to create a dialup connection using bluetooth as the dialup adapter and *99# as the dialled number. Perhaps there is a similar type setting for your palm? Hope this helps

Thank you both for your help...unfortuneately none of your suggestions and documents I have found online have helped.

MTN (our local GPRS cellular provider) is busy with GPRS and Handheld testing - I will wait for their reply. They say It might be within the next week.

In the mean time, take a look here Drad
