MP3's = no. But you can with a 3rd party app (easily found on web/wap)

i have seen mp3s being played on n6600 with my own eyes. i was under the impression he didnt have to download anything, just put them on the MMC card

they will play straight of the card in the voice recorder but if you want them in order and create a track list i think you have to use a 3rd party app.
oggplay a good one to its free and oggs sound better and take up less space. also oggplay is free which is always a bonus |

I have not got mp3s to play on my 6600 without a player installed. If I try to play them real player opens and says 'file format not known'

they play in my voice recorder straight off. try putting the mp3 into your digital sounds folder on mmc or phone memory
it only plays the track and you cant link tracks together so you do really need 3rd party apps to make it like a proper mp3 player |

I have sent several MP3s from my P900 to a friends 6600 & none of them would play!
Seems obscure that u have to play them in voice recorder but then again it is a Mokia!

i m wrong thought i had an mp3 file as a ringtone but it was a wav file not sure if the nokia pc suite converted it for me when i sent it across
so i apologise as i was totally wrong
however just found a sis file that may work and allows oggs to work as ringtones will try it today and let you know if it works or not |
