Outlook Sync to 68i |

I have a notebook with Win XP Pro, Irda and a 3Com USB Bluetooth adapter. I have the following problems trying to sync my contacts with Outlook
I have managed to sync Outlook using IrDA twice out of probably 50 attemps. I have not managed to understand why it has worked in 2 occasions and failed all th others. My T68 is seen by my laptop, but it seems to me it is the infamous XTNDConnect PC for Ericsson
I'm also trying to sync using my 3Com BT Adapter but I then fail miserably in seting up the XTNDConncet PC software. I can send Busines Cards back and forth between the laptop and the T68i using BT, I can also send files, so the BT connction works, but syncing is definitely a problem
Any hints from aynone ? |

I get errors installing all the Software, I keep getting READ-ONLY errors for a .dll file (I think it's robode.dll or something like that).
Anyone have any solutions??
I'm using XP Home btw. |

I am using XP with the Xtend software i got from :SE: website and it's working so fine using a data cable. Try to uninstall the xtend install xp again and then install xtend. Maybe some files (*.dll) from windows are missing.

Note your original configuration...this may disable infrared syncing
Best way for the 3Com BT adapter is to try this:
Check to see what COM port your bluetooth serial connection is
Open control panel and bring up the ericsson phone monitor options
On the tab with the com ports listed hilight the one your BT serial connection uses and click the enable and reserve buttons.
Make sure no other port is enabled or reserved
Click ok or apply.
This works for me every time. Sometimes the sync is slow, but it completes. FYI I have the 3COM PCMCIA Bluetooth adapter.

I am trying to use the infrared on my T68i with my Apple G4 laptop but it is not working. I think I need the driver. Does anyone know where I can get it? |

Using WinXP Pro SP1 on a Dell Inspiron 8000. Sync with outlook worked when using IR. Tried 3Com BT but no success Installed the BT on desktop and same result, didn't work too... still looking for a solution |

I replaced the 3 Com BT adapter by a TDKsytems one and everything works fine. The 3com stuff is really crap. TDK looks reaaly cool and software is very easy to use. You can find the TDK verison at a reasonable price at London Heathrow Airport : less than $150. I have it elsewhere at more than $200
Highly recommended.
It seems to me that WinXP/XTND is having syncing problems with IR, but BT is OK depending on the type of BT adapter you use |

I am having a similar problem. Trying to sync T68i with a Sony VAIO using BT3030 Bluetooth adapter. Cannot sync with outlook. Tried using XTND software but it only works if I'm using the InfraRed (IR) port. Changed notebooks and I don't have IR anymore, just Bluetooth. Tried tech support for AT&T, Sony Ericsson, with no luck? Does anyone have any ideas on how to accomplish this?
I am able to link and transfer biz cards and images using Bluetooth, but no synchronizing. Is there any other software that is needed? Does the T68i support synchronizing with Bluetooth?
Thanks

T68i sync does work with BT.
As previously mentionned, I have a DELL Laptop with now a TDKsystems dongle on winXP. IR doesn't work but BT does using R4A PAckage 4 from the SE website |
