if I won the lottery, what will I 'honestly' do with the money? |

Hmmm . . . looks like a hypothetical 'Q' here mates Well, as they say, If you are to dream, dream to the fullest ! So, I am making this thread also to find out the true 'personality' each member has here at esato Just try to be honest with your answers mates - OK Supposing that the Grand Prize at stake is pegged at US$ 10 Million
Here's what I will do with the money:
1. As a common practice here in my place - tradition, rich people (though not all) donates some cash to charitable institutions, about 50 entities. In this case I'll be doling out around, say, US$ 3 Million! Those amount will buy them a nice and decent PC set-up complete with modems/webcam and all, not to forget the T2 connection, so that the unfortunate kids will have the chance to register and eventually join esato's: Playtime-Beat the Lock Contest II in the very near future.
2. I will be making a list of around 100 active members of esato to join me in a Grand Tour Vacation at Monaco - the schedule will time with the F1 Grand Prix race! It will be a weeklong vacation mates All expense paid. Though spouses will not be allowed to join so as to give more time to the members to converse with everything they've always wanted to say to each other up close and personal I will make a special arrangement, perhaps in a yacht, wherein all the 6 mods + @laffen included to discuss, it will be a face-off discussion During the Monaco Tour, each member will be handed US$ 50K each, shopping spree budget All SE fones will be brought in the trip so as to make some comparison with the alterations they've done with their fones! Airfare+accomodation will be shouldered of course!
After a week, and when we are about to depart from each other, I will hand a very considerable amount to @laffen to pay his monthly bill of US$ 900.00 to keep esato going - perhaps, that will cover about 10 years of website fees Some improvements will also be done at esato, special request will be the 'reinstatement' of the Playtime Game - there will be abundant prizes to be given away for the rest of the 35K + esato members who were not able to join the trip due to budgetary constraints
Total budget for the Monaco trip: US$ 6.999 Million
I guess after all the spendings spree made, I will be left with around US$ 1K in my pocket . . . I will bet those money again, maybe there will be an Esato Members Grand Tour Vacation II in the offing
Ohhh . . . all I can do is dream mates But honestly speaking, this is just one of my biggest dream so far in my life - to meet some of our members here - in prison, I mean in person
Now, how will you spend your fortune folks

@jojo - can I come on your trip?
Hmm, probably do the usual, nice house, manageable size, good but not too flash car, and top of the range phone (guess which brand - hint: ).
I'd also learn to fly - I'd love to do that, half the fun on going on holiday is going on a plane for me. I'd buy myself a WWII Spitfire and fly it at airshows. If I had enough, I'd buy a good friend of mine one too, as he loves planes and flying, and he deserves it with ll he's been through recently.
And probably loads of other gadgets too, I have a weakness for them!
Also a holiday, and yes, would also give some of it to charity and good friends.

id hate to win money because then my friends and my family would become a bunch of money-sucking leeches
I mean there are people who are good with money but too many people become drooling epileptics at the sight of cash

@sammy_boy - " A L L " of my good ol' friends who posted/replied 'tirelessly' at the Garbage Thread Forums will all be included - They are the priorites in the SwissAir manifest list trip Fortunately, one of them is - YOU!
@kimcheeboi - YUP! You are very much right there mate! Relatives comes out like mushrooms after the rain, when they hear that a relative of theirs won a lot of dineros, even non-relatives will pretend to be one
Honestly speaking, I already won in our lottery here (local), though the sum is only small - US$ 500.00 and that was in the year - 2000. As they say, lightning do strike - 'T W I C E' ! |

@sammy_boy - Just pray hard that I hit the jackpot price at tonight's lottery, pegged at US$ 100K ! Hmmm . . . If I win this one, looks like the airline manifest list will be cut into 1/8 Well, @sammy_boy will still be included I'll just leave @kimcheeboi in the luggage compartment for a free ride . . . |

1. Take 1 million to strip clubs , nah first I buy everything that I ever wanted with a limit of 1 million
2. Place 6 million on the banks so i can live with the interests
3. play with 1 million on the market and try to make more money, yeah
4. 1 million for donations
5. 1 million for my parents and some very close friends
--------------------------
Ah damn if it was true ... maybe a coincidence but today was the euromillions and guess what ? I lost ...

First off, I'd invest 1 million in stocks, set aside some for the rest of College (still need the education especially since I am studying Finance. Help me better manage my money and start my own multinational corporation), build myself and my mother our dream houses, set my mother and little sister for life, place some in a high interest bank account, split about 2 million among other family and friends, travel the world and buy all the things my heart desires, AND give 1 million to charities for AIDS.
