This might be a really stupid question but here goes.

If I don't have any way of connecting my phone to my computer (no bluetooth, infrared and don't want to buy a cable), how do I get Mp3's onto the phone?

What I really want to know if anyone knows of a site whre you can upload Mp3's from a computer and download them via GPRS to the phone (this way I can put the tunes I want onto the phone).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I dont think there is, i dont know any. Downloading MP3's is meant to be internationally illegal, whether the MP3's are full tracks or made into 30 second ringtones. The only sites that would offer MP3's for download would be the ones that charge for the service.

You're better off buying yourself a cheap Bluetooth dongle, even if you dont want one they're always worth having as they make getting new items onto your phone quick and simple.

The Mp3's that I am planning to use are in the public domain (either my own stuff or classical music).

I completely understand that bluetooth is the best way to go, but I'm looking for a cheap and fast solution.

Thanks for the advice anyway.

you can use my site to do that. I have setup an upload scrip so anyone can upload mp3 tones movies and stuff. Have posted this to esato and m9 and Many people have contributed.

go to http://www.parisp.com/k700/upload/ to upload something

and then go to the respective folder to download it. http://www.parisp.com/k700/mp3-tones/ for rigtones.

hope this works for you.

I dont think this is gonne be a cheap solution at all. Downloading just a few MB with gprs will take forever, and it is going to be really expensive.

Paris, I've tried using your site to upload (as I only want a few tunes it will be the cheapest way). Unfortunately with every tune I try I get the following message.

"Only audio/mpeg3 or image/jpeg or application/zip or image/x-quicktime or video/3gpp files may be uploaded."

I am trying to upload Mp3's of around 200k so they should be absolutely fine. Any more suggestions?

Is your site still working?
