Anyone in GREECE that had the T39m 76h battery stand by problem and manage to fix/update/solve the problem???? I have contacted the ericsson through phone, mail and by going myself in a service center (peristeri) and the only thing they did was to fully charge my phone(again in no more than 76h) and make me mad by telling me that it is normal to have a stand by of 70h (though in the greek site of ericsson they publicize that the phone last from 160-300h). I have been promised to be called by them with an answer to my question/problem that was last week(saturday 25/05/02) and I am still waitting(U think they will call ?). I have even sent them the posts in this forum that explain that THERE IS a problem and that THERE IS a FIX, but nothing .
I have T39m 02w8 R3B006 Cosmote.
PLS anyone that knows smthng about this send an email or post a reply

tell them to check the EMMA server... the fix (called T39_Stdby_Fix) is there... just run it and the standbytime is fixed....
if they still not believe it.... I'll come and give them a lesson they soon will forget

while you still are explaining to them you might as well tell them what a mobile phone is
sometimes you wonder how some people can work as servicetechnicians...

SE in Greece are notable for the ease with which they exchange every product that is even suspected to be faulty. Their after-sales behavior is impeccable. I'm sure that if you returned to them, they'd resolve the matter right away. By the way, Cosmote in Greece have tuned their base-station transmission in a way that results in much shorter standby times with all devices when compared to Vodafone and Telestet. Nevertheless, you ought to be able to get an indication of 150-160 hrs if everything is functioning properly.

my cousin in Sweden is getting an education through university or college or smthng, to be specialized in cellular/mobile phones. In greece that is not the case...The technicians propably are more salesman than technicians and they have got a crash course in mobile phones . Anyway will see

Maybe you didn't read carefully what i wrote because i already went myself to a service center (PERISTERI). I left the phone for an hour and all that I got was battery charge up to 76h which after an hour droped down to 66h stand by time and that's exactly what the phone lasts(66h give or take 2h)

Ericsson in Greece has a Swede CEO and I do not think that he authorizes the employment at the official service-centers of salesmen with a two-week seminar education as servicemen. Anyway, I'm sure that your problem will be resolved. And, no, I am not by any means associated with Ericsson Hellas.

Latest news on the subject they have accepted the problem but what they did was to give me a new T39 phone with the latest firmware and one week older of production(mine was 02w8 R3B006 and they gave me 02w7 R4Axxxx).That is fine by me but couldn't they just fix the old one??.... Anyway all is well that ends well (I Hope)
