I'll keep it brief,

Got my 3g LG 8110 a few days ago, took it home to my parents house and set it up, worked fine. Went back to my house near Uni and tried to use it. Had four bars reception and it said 'calling'.

Next thing i know I hear 3 beeps and im cut off. So I try again. and again...... Frustrated I turn the phone off and on, same problem. I reselect the network and hey presto it works for 5 minutes with four or three bars reception. Then after this time the signal shows as 0 and the network logo dissapears. Only when I keep reselecting the network over and over in this area does it make and recieve calls. The network always disappears after 5 or so mins of being idle. It never cuts out if I use the phone, only when I leave it for a bit!

Three have assured me the coverage is strong in my postcode and should even work for video calls, I have also replaced the handset today though I still face the same issue.

What do I do? Its a bargain at £25 a month for 500 cross net mins.

its your choice, but if it doesnt meet your needs/expectations, you could consider cancelling your contract with 3.

Hmmmm. Finnally got through to someone at 3 that knows what they are doing! They told me that I am in the edge of an area in between two masts where the signal from both masts end. How dodgy is that?! They say it will take at least a month for them to sort it out.

Dunno what to do. Can still call but I need to keep manually reselecting the network in this area.

aaaaaaaaaarghhhhhhh!
