It was so long ago I had a Nokia I hardly remember how it works when the software needs to be updated. Is it as easy as just stoping by a service point and having a cup of coffe while they update the phone for you? |

Hmm... come to think of it... now I remember. There are no tools for updating the firmware, so the phone actually has to be sent to Nokia in order to get the firmware updated. Yes, that's how it is! Whew... now I remember my silver 8810... sent it in... well, I don't want to think about how many times it was sent in for firmware updates since it's in the past now.
Bottom line is that every time you want to update the firmware you have to send it in! |

I heard the battery of that thing has to be charged like 3 or 4 times a day if playing mp3s. The only reason i would want the 6230 is because it has external memory. k700 wins on everything else |

no, it does NOT have to be charged 3/4 times a day, if you listen to mp3's,
also, it has a loud speaker, loud ring tone, in fact its too loud, i had 2 put it down to half, its so loud, the screen is excellent quality,
and it does not hav 2 be sent for a firmware upgrade, well, my uncle didnt send it away
any other questyions ask away |

upgrading the firmware on a nokia is just the same as an se phone you go to a nokia care center which are located all over the country and they update it for you its that simple
they can be unlocked as well via the internet just look for dct4 unlocking and you can do it from home it works out the code you type it in and its unlocked
alos noticed it was for sale on o2 website so maybe they havent pulled it |
