Hi everybody,

Don't know if this has been posted here --- I looked around but couldn't find it. Anyway:

After buying the T68, I got irritated at how slow it was. Especially when going to the Inbox etc in the SMS menu. It could take several seconds for the SMS-list to pop up.

I realised that it was the SMSes stored on the SIM that made the list slow. For each SIM-SMS, the display of the list is delayed approximately half a second. Non-SIM-SMSes also makes the list slower, but that is hardly noticable.

Remedy: Remove all SIM-SMS:es, and your inbox will be fast!

Brimme, if you have an SMS you want to keep, select rate in your message options when reading the desired message and it will be stored on your SIM.

This is a darn good tip for frequent texters like myself. Thanx it really does go faster. Another suggestion for those who want to store your sms there just buy a prepaid sim...now how expensive can that be??

Stlblues: I did some tests, and the time for a phone-SMS is less than a tenth of that of a SIM-SMS. Each phone-SMS takes just 0.067 seconds, each SIM-SMS takes 0.8 seconds. Example: 30 phone-SMSes take 2 sec, 10 SIM-SMSes take 8 seconds. -jas

Zamarov: It is truly crappy that you cant copy SIM-SMSes to the phone. I forward them to myself or simply erase them. -jas
