I would like to send my T610 to be fixed as it has a fault. Is this a good idea? My nearest service centre is 40 miles away. How long should I expect to wait for my handset to be returned?

Take the bus or the train. I live in the US and when sending it in it takes at least 3 weeks to get it back. So if you get there early, you might be able to wait for it.

As long as that. It has been suggested that it needs a firmware upgrade. Is there not an easier way to do this?

Whenever I choose the 'write new' email option an alert tells me 'memory full' when it clearly isn't. .

Another option is to send your mobile to the service center with a courier, DHL or similar.

I went to my carrier or operator and told them about the problem my T300 was making when the camera was connected and it didn't even recognized it, or when it was active then all of a sudden it got disconnected; they noticed this, and told me that I was gonna expect my phone in 12 days maybe more or less, that they would call me.
I'm missing it, i'm on my 9th day and I miss it, a lot!!
The problem is that I forgot to tell them that I wanted it firmware upgraded also, with the last fw upgrade; I hope SE is aware of this and upgrades it , please SE!

Sorry to hear that. I hope you get your phone back. My T300 had the same problem but I thought it was a physical problem. I am waiting for Orange Technical support to get back with a resolution. If I send it to SE and they upgrade the firmware will I lose all the themes etc that I have downloaded?

YUP! Better call the service center 1st! Then spare a whole day for possiblities that you can wait for your unit to be fixed there If not, the best idea is to have it sent via courier. Though it may 'cause some problems as well - handling and all that

@Goldenface
Yeah it's a big probability that everything gets erased, sorry man.

By the way, my carrier called me today because they told me that my cell phone was available for pickup. So I went with the proof sheet, so they could give me my cell phone. But then they bring out my T300, and there was a sticker on it, they said that SE told them that the warranty was invalid, because they did a diagnostic and (they didn't know exactly why didn't SE made the warranty valid) said that me or some other person tried to unlock my cell phone, that maybe SE ran a software program on it and they found something that they didn't like and they said the warranty was invalid and they returned the phone to my carrier. But I said that I haven't even got the required stuff for unlocking the phone and haven't tried either, they told me that maybe when someone tried a SIM from another carrier that maybe caused the "unlocking problem" (what the hell are they talking about). I said that I take a lot of care of my cell phone that didn't even tried to unlock, so they told me that they were gonna send again the phone to SE with the following description: "Client is uncomfort with the diagnostic and wants the warranty revalidated".
So, now I'm gonna wait again 11 days or so, to get my phone back...I got very pissed when they told me that the warranty was not validated, I'm even inside the period of warranty.
What do you think about guys...?

That is strange. What do you suspect has happened? Your phone will be gone for three weeks:-(
