Anyone know when it will be released in the UK? I know that it's started shipping, and Phones4u have the info on it up in their shop, but I can't find anywhere that has it in stock or even when they think it'll be in.

Well the thing is i'm sort of in a rush for it. You see, my dad is going on holiday at the end of the month, and he's wanting a to take out a contract with the 5140, no matter what network it is. But he's also wanting to transfer his number too. So i've phone Orange, got a PAC, and now i'm pretty much just waiting to see what network or shop has it in first. Anyone know anything yet?

Just in case anyone else is interested:
I'm just back from talking to some salesmen from Phones4U and Carphone Warehouse, both of which told me that the phone will be available from them as of tomorrow, but only on O2 and Vodafone.

Meant to post this earlier, but i've been a bit busy. I got the 5140 on Tuesday for my dad, and although the number hasn't been transferred yet from his Orange sim, i've still been playing about with it. I'll post some pictures later on.

where did you get it from and how much is it no various contracts? I am considering getting one, it looks like it can take the beatings that my phones get when I'm out and about. However, i read a dissapointing review on it, and the Siemens M65 has a bigger screen which is a big bonus...

Thanks

I got it from Carphone Warehouse in East Kilbride. It was ordered on the Monday though and delivered by courier to the shop on Tuesday for me as they never had any in stock. It's on O2 100 (£25 a month, 100 minutes and 100 texts free, and it's double that for the first 3 months) and the phone was free too on that tariff too, which was a plus.

Here are some pictures, as I haven't seen any real-life one's online yet:

Full portrait of the 5140

Rear view with camera

Top half of the phone (Bit dark, I know). The small bubble in the top right-hand corner is the level so the digital compass can be used

Top of the phone, with the power button, loudspeaker, and torch on display

Right hand side, with Push-To-Talk button at the top, and the infra-red at the bottom

Bottom, which is a rubber flap to protect the power and data/headset ports

Left hand side, with the volume control buttons

Main Standby screen

Digital Compass

Sound Meter

Torch (Activated by pressing and holding the # key for a second while on Standby)

I was going to include pictures of the Push to Talk menu, but there isn't much point as PTT isn't operational yet anyway, and they are just a bunch of standard settings menu's

EDIT- Nearly forgot the size comparison pictures:

I just compared it with a Z600 as it's all I have at hand at the moment.
