I want to create my own backgrounds for my k700, does anyone here know what the best pictures size for the backgrounds on the k700?

Im using photoshop, what would be the best size (i would guess that using the screen size (176 x 220) would be too big(?), and at what resolution would be best (100 pixels per inch)?

Any help would be cool

thanks

Most of all the K700 images that are supported by the official SE website have 176x176 pixels resolution.

It is indeed 176x176, if you create backgrounds, you might as well try to make a theme... Download the themes creator...
Good luck!

Theme Creator v1.3.1 for Windows works fine on the Mac when running Virtual PC, if you have that. I use it to create themes on my Mac.

Alternatively, wait patiently for MacMedia to update PhoneAgent to support K700, which apparently they are working on now.

However, in the meantime you can manually make themes on a Mac using Photoshop, a text editor and a TAR archive maker. Just un-tar an existing theme, change the files etc. and archive into TAR format, rename to .thm and that's it. It's a bit laborious but possible.

If you want to make nice Caller ID pictures for your K700, cut your persons head out from the background on a Photoshop layer so the background is transparent, re-size to 146 x 146 pixels, then Save for web... as a 24-bit PNG file.

Transfer to the phone and add to a contact. When they phone, they're picture will be nicely composited on the theme background with a transparent background. Looks really cool!

You find over 10,000 ready backgrounds and caller ID's on PhoneImage. You get each picture both in the 176x176 background pictures format and in the 146x146 caller ID's format. Search on Google on
k700i wallpaper
and you find the direct link as first match.

@ whentheleveebreaks

You can find a Theme creator that works fine with MacOSX starting from
h**p://myforum.lasyk.net/forumdisplay.php?f=68

It's a Java app - pretty neat

Peace
