hi guys
cool webpage
just registered yesterday!
I am not sure what to do?
I want to buy a new mobile phone but i have a budget of £140 +£40 for old nokia and maybe another £20 on top of that
I am nearly 15 and don,t think i need bluetooth, infra red port gprs (too exspensive) (MOST PEOPLE IN SCHOOL THINK 8310 is the bESt and coolest phone )
WHAT DO I get ?
(seen 8310 for £160 on virgin and 8850 for £140 are they good phones?)
(brother says 8850 is a really stylish phone and after i seen it i agree)
i MIGHT BE ablE TO GeT lInE rental of up tO £14 a monthz but don,t won't to end up paying something like £500

Considering those features you said you dont need, the t65 or t66 fits the bill nicely.

I agree with GOwin you said you don't need the ir-port but I can't understand people who can live without GPRS I think you should consider between the T65 and the R600

I'd say go for R600, it's one of the best-looking phones I've ever seen...

go to Carphone ware house and buy Ercission T68 no no no do not complain about price
carphone ware house sell 14 day returns a third cheaper
t68 costs £230 trade in old phone -get £30 (as pay as you go upgrade over £199)
so you get a T68 which is less than 14 days old with waranty for £199.99 after train in
just in your budget a must buy bargin
i nearly bought this but i am getting t68 on orange contract for £20 on £1`4 a month contract

That £40 old nokia, r u buying that or trading it in, cos some stores will only let you trade phones up to £50 if u go on contract.

Seeing how you don't want GPRS or infra red go for a Sony J7 theyll set you back around £100 on Virgin but you get £25 call credit and most of the time they don't lock their phones.

On Orange No line rental you could get a motorola v66 for around £140.

Do you have any particualr network or brand of phone that you like?

Just don't get the 8310 or the 8850. I have used them they suck. If you really want a NOKIA buy the 6510. It's great, i had it for about two months and i was really satisfied with it. I don't think you need to buy a T68 or T68i, it will be useless for you...

You can usually find deals on the phones on the net and get people to pricematch.
I got my T68i on Vodafone from the Carphone Warehouse for £50 then my line rental, I did the same with my samsung A300 when it came out... should have been £90 on contract got it for £20.

Make sure that any phone you find is from a place in England and has a phone line you can ring and also has the phone in stock so that the staff at Carphone Warehouse can check before they price match.

www.e2save.com is where I got them to price match my T68i from.

"don,t think i need bluetooth, infra red port gprs"

1. probably dont need Infra Red but you'll use it one day if you have it.
2. the same can be said for Bluetooth if a friend of your gets the same phone as you.
3. GPRS, probably dont need and may never need it.

i'd stay away from the 8850, stylish but old...i had the 8850 & 8890 before my T68 and they're old technology now, about to be replaced with new models anyway...sure they still look nice but i wouldnt buy one new at this stage...same menu and functions as the 8210 and you wouldnt buy one of those right now would you?

get the 8310 if you want to use the radio otherwise just go for the T68 and be done with it...lots of functions when upgraded to MMS software such as storing all your friends pictures so you can see their face when they call you etc.

it might be top of the Sonyericsson range but it's really just a big kids phone...if it's available within your budget just get that phone.

also, the T68 can be upgraded to have the exact same software and memory functions as the T68i.

Since you're 15, I would suggest a small phone. I'd go for either the T28 or T39. You can pick up an used one and not spend an arm and a leg. Trust me you'll need the arm and the leg to pay for the huge amounts of minutes you'll buy
