When i try it, it never works it just says connection failed as if the phone wasnt there, can anyone help?
And also is it possible to send from E700 to T610

I tried it with my friend's E700 too, and it was impossible. Its irda is similar to Nokia - only for data and sync

I thought so. 3 of my mates have E700 and they were annoyed because they wanted some of my pics and they couldnt get them( i just mms'ed them) they want a new phone with  because they were suprised how i had a lot of stuff on my phone and i didnt pay a penny for them  I suggested them to get  s

samsung's irda can only send Vcards thats it.
so next time someone thinks he's big with his overpriced samsung, just ask him to try the irda

It doesn't seem to me that Nokia's irda is only for data and synchro. 
I tried n 6230 with  t610 and nokia was able to send pictures(jpeg) and accept ones.But we didn't try it with sounds.

It has to be the same with the sounds.
I have heard that with Nokias IR is no problem, just like SE's.

Well,I cannot understand why Atlis has been speaking about Nokias so badly.Has he tried the nokias irda yet?

Boto, you know that I have experiences with nokias... Its irda wasn't able to send anything, only business cards to another phone! 3200, 6230 and newer models can, older no way... So probably only half a year... Clear?

Yeah Atlis,but you should realise that older model of ericssons fones even didnt have irda port. f.e. T 28, T 29  :

Yes but they are flip phones, 3 or 4 years older! What about R320s, 520m? T39m? Last two wiv bluetooth? Nokia is far behind /// or SE when talking about tech.

My mate said that he foind an option on his E700 which was an option to send a pic through ir but he cant find it anymore. Where is it? If its true
