Hi there Im new to Esato... I have purchased the K700i.. its a pretty good phone im thinking about buying the bluetooth Mp3 player... is it compatable with the K700i

Also a few questions.... why are sony selling it so cheap.. was it a flop? did they find some flaws in it and are justrying to get rid of there stock??? Or is there a NEW mp3 player coming out soon..

Thanks in Advance

Look on www.sonyericsson.com it gives a list of compatible phones.

I guess its cheap because they made loads put a silly price on it, limit it to Sony branding (as usual) and nobody bought them. They w ill probably still make a profit.

Hi there thanks for that.. I did look on there but it does not have k700 on there list. I have posted a message on there site also and am waiting for a reply... I reckon they most probably forgot to update there website.. but then again it might just not be compatable..

yeah sony branding adds something to the price always.. but then again they do make the best looking equipment by far.. (Pioneer is a close second on the main stream market)

thanks for the response.

as you say, the site has not been updated yet so I just made a quick call to the service centre and the person assures me having tried it themselves (so they said) that the HBM-30 does work with the K700

Thanks for that. I might get one... But i hear the duo sticks only got to 128MB.. im guess the duo pro stick is not compatable with this device as there is no mention of it on the se website...

thanks

one last thing i know this is not the correct thread but with the k700 comes a handfree kit used for the radio.. is there anyway of getting decent headphones connected to the handsfree connection.. i have some fontopia headphones i like using and these ones they supply the phone with are massive for my ears.

Thanks in advance

i can confirm that the HBM-30 does indeed work with the K700. and yes, 128Mb are the largest Duos that will work.

you can use whatever headphones you like with the HBM-30, but i haven't come across anything to let you use normal headphones with the k700.

Is it just the extra strage space you are after. As K700 plays MP3's?

Thanks for the replies everyone. Yep Im lookin pretty much for extra storage space... 128 seems ok... i could just wait til the Mini iPod comes out here in the UK...

But thought that the HBM-30 would be a nice cheap alternative.

The Sony Ericsson web site states that the SE HBM-30 is compatible with the SE K700i.

For further information, take a look at Sony Ericsson - Specifications - Bluetooth™ Music Handsfree HBM-30.
