"The new model will have a larger lense. It will also have optical zoom and a slot for an add-on flash"
said Nokia's Juha Putkiranta in an article in the Finnish newspaper Aamulehti the other day.

Umm.. yeah.. except that the K700/i only has a VGA cam (not 3MP) and no optical zoom (digital only I believe) ?

@flying finn - I saw it in @masseur's SE K700 review thread that it has a digital zoom camera

Yeah, it was in the review.. for digital zoom, not optical zoom which is far superior. |

Yes! What I also liked about the SE K700 is it's 'built-in' camera color features: Black/White, Color and Sepia Unlike in other old color celfones where the color choices comes in as an an application only. |

Remember Flyin Fin is a Nokia supporter and unofficial Nokia spy. He tries to confuse us. Fact1: K700 is out now. Fact2: Nokia whatever you are talking about is just vaporware at this moment. Fact3: NoKia vaporware phone might not be the direct competitor phone to the K700.
Meaning come back with some real competition for SE with a phone that is available and stop hyping Nokia.

i was talking about nokia's upcoming phones (based on an credible article), nothing wrong about that if you look at all the "upcoming SE phones" threads

@residentevil - Yup! It's a common fact that @flying_finn is a Nokia lover, and so am I - at times, 'cause I just like SE fones as well (intelligent ones to consider) ! But considering that @flying_finn is a loyal/fanatic Nokia admirer - one, doesn't necessarily discount the prudent replies/Nokia features he is adding in various threads As one of the highly respected mods once lamented: "I give high respect to some of @flying_finn's post as well" . . . I hope that we'll just keep it at that my friend |

but where does it say 3mp? that seems just a little too much, 2mp yes but it's a huge jump from 1mp to 3mp.... possible yes but i don't think so....
and about optical zoom i mean if you have optical than this is not a phone anymore, it's a camera with a phone.... christ i know we have seen a lot of cameras that have ultra small lenses but really it's quite expensive to manafacture them plus the still take a lot of space...
maybe he was talking only about macro and normal viewfinder without any zoom, if you only have macro you don't need to integrate zoom lenses, take a look at a5404 to see what i'm talking about...
well if this is true than this is excellent news!
but i have to say i was never really thrilled by the idea of having a cam in your phone, i never take any pics with it and so i'm not very excited when i hear info like this, if you ask me they should work on batteries , wlan and rf ( ) |

Here is the essential part of the article. (I took the pic with my digital camera.)
It is in Finnish but I hope that some else (than me) has time to translate it.
