gud day peeps. I hope you can help me with my dead p800. I got the phone last year from globe on may 28, 2003. my phone had no problems and been using it for 2 months. I decided to let semicon upgrade my firmware to r2f. they told me that my unit was old andd cannot be upgraded and has to be sent to S.E.. so I let them keep it. I was told i could get my phone in a week. then i was told that my phone had to be replaced. I waited almost 3 months for the replacement. when I got my new phone it had a new imei no. i was very happy with it. a few weeks beore my waranty was over. it just turned off by itself, and wont turn on. SO i took it back to semicon. tthey wee able to fix it in an hour under waranty, I asked the lady there if I could bring it o smartnet or S.E. she said no, because the phone came from them. after 2 weeks itt went dead again, and to my dismay my waranty was over. So I decided to bring it to S.E. soluttions and they told me that my phone was tampered and cannot be rapaired. I am not planning tto ask semicon how this happened cause i'm sure they'll just make me more furious. They will just deny it, What options do I have so I can have my p800 repaired? or should i just throw it away. I am posting this as my last effort to have my phone brought back to life. pls help I really miss my p800.

@dunkun_donut - Firstly, why did they change your p8's IMEI serial # back there? Looks like your fone has just been cannibalised from the start mate ! Now, with all the hulabaloos that occured in between, what do you think seems to be the problem now

[Illegal information deleted by GOwin]

Don't cannibalise your fone, chop it parts mate, find for new solutions to make it work once more !

I suggest that you go back to semicon and demand for the repair or replacement of the said unit. If this fails, I suggest you head to the SE main office and file your complaint there.

They replaced my original phone, cause when i had semicon flash my phone they told me that there was a problem with my unit, eventhough there was nothing wrong with it. I just wanted to get the latest firmware r2f. They replaced my phone after 3 months of waiting, its just sad that semicon gave me a tampered phone.

I dont wana pick a fight with them cause i dont like trouble and i'm pretty sure they'll just deny it. I'l just charge this one to experience. Are there any other places that accept p800 repair aside from the 3 service centers?

Dont let semicon north edsa touch your phones. I learned my lesson the hard way.

oh, come on. if you know you're on the right, why don't you stand up for it?

i-reklamo mo na din sa DTI, while you're at it.

I requested a letter from S.E. solutions regarding their findings, regarding tampering. I'l present it to semicon and fiind out what they have to say. Thanks gowin I'l try your advice.

1st, i never let semicon touch my phones, even if i bought them there. they are incompetent fools.

2nd, SESS ALWAYS claims that phones are tampered, whether true or not, so that they can make a buck out of you.

the only decent and reliable service center out there as far as i'm concerned is smartnet. never had a problem with them and service has always been first class.

yup. semicon's the last resort when having your phone serviced. went there(sm manila branch) a few days ago to have my t68i's faceplate changed to adriatic blue. they were the only ones who had that kind of color. good thing my phone survived.

as for sess, i never had a problem with them. they give me decent and reliable service whenever i bring my phone there.

dudes, in my experience, SESS offers good quality service, last april they even replaced my gf cell for a new one, nang malaman nilang defective yung nauna,, so far no problem naman sa SESS pero sa smartnet......... talagang in my opinion, sila ang may pinakamagandang service na nakitaan ko, lalo na si carlos, he's one hell of a guy, wala kang madidinig, lahat ng pakiusap mo gagawin niya hangga't kaya niya, lahat ng paliwanag sasabihin niya, yan si carlos, just ask for the name kapag nagpunta ka dun, CARLOS and you'll never be disappointed (lalo na kapag warrantied ang phone mo)

pero sa Semicon, lahat na yata ng branches nila ay BUL____T!!! sa akin, wala pa akong nakitang service nila na matino, kahit sa inquiry lang mararamdaman mo niloloko ka na ng harapan, SEMICON SUCKS!!!

stay out of semicon even if that's the last thing, mas lalo ka pang magkakaproblema, the worst baka sumama pa ang loob mo makapatay ka ng customer service or technician

bring it back again to semicon. if your phone s repaired by semicon staff, the warranty will again be extended to three months. if a problem comes again, have them repair it, then the warranty resets to three months again.

a week before mag expire waranty ko. dinala ko sa semicon. naayos nila wihin ann hour. flash lang daw problem, after 2 weeks post waranty. ganun uli ayaw mag on. ang sabi nila saakin. di na raw pwede sa waranty. dahil kung sa warantty daw inayos wala daw yung 3 months na extension. ganyan daw ang sistema ng semicon. di ko na kinulit sabi nila standards daw nila yun.

Show them prescribed warranty period as stated in your phone's manual which is the expiration of your phone's initial warranty (1 year) or 3 months after repair has been done WHICHEVER IS LONGER.

If you have problems with your complaint email me at dlreyes@i-manila.com.ph. Old timers here could attest na hilig ko lang ito.
