im sorry if this has been asked before. i tried to search but i couldn't find any specific topic regarding Smart's TextMail features.

if i send an email with a picture background to 63xxxxxxxxxx@mysmart.mymobile.ph (t610 user), will he be able to view the background picture in that email? i'm wondering bcoz i tried sending from my yahoo mail with a picture background (instead of attaching the image file) to my tmomail.net account and i was able to see the picture on my z600.

i've been trying to get around my problem of how to send an mms to my mom and bro who are smart subscribers but since i can't send international mms with t-mobile (phone to phone), i thought sending one to their phone's email would be possible (web-based yahoo mail to their phone's email).

any help would be much appreciated. thanks!

maybe i'll just rephrase my question. for smart subscribers in the philippines, are u able to receive an MMS on your mms-enabled phones like T610? can u guys receive mms sent as an email? or the only way to go is to retrieve them online?

tulungan nyo naman ako o pls?

receive MMS on an MMS phone? of course. an MMS message should pass through an MMS gateway so i don't quite understand your other question.

i know that an mms phone should be able to rcv mms but i asked bcoz in the case of globe, why do they send a sms notification that i got an mms and i have to retrieve it from their website when i should be able to receive it thru my cellphone?

im just trying to get around my problem of how to send a picture message to my mom (smart subscriber) but since tmobile doesn't allow international mms, i couldn't send one. that's why i asked about smart's phone email which is TextMail bcoz in Tmobile's case, everytime i get an email it comes as a Wap Push, and background pictures work rather than picture attachments.

thanks for the reply though.

You get that tx message cos mms is not set up on your sim card and/or you have the incorrect settings on your fone! As for your original question. SE say that you can recieve pictures via email (pop3) but i have never been able to.

thanks for the reply. the phone is properly setup, so i guess it's the sim card that doesn't have the capability to receive mms on the phone.

about receiving an email with a picture, it works if you have the picture as a background in the body of the email, rather than attaching it. i tried using one of the stationery images in yahoo mail and sent it to my tmomail and the picture showed up (through wap push).
