I try to download things off the net but it dosnt work. They tell me to open the file with something else ? and a windwow pops up for me to select from.l Whats wrong? how do i transfer stuff to my phone ??

There is nothing like an infrared cable . It's contradictory by definition. Either you have an infrared connection or you have a cable connection.

You have a thread about the same, or at least about a similar, topic at Urgent help Infra red cable set up.

I think hes saying that because Infra red is connected to the pc via a cable?

but what kind of file did you download windows cant read mpn or thm or imy without proper software/emulator. could you fully explain your problem.

Why would one like to have an infrared thingy connected to ones PC via a cable? Why not use an ordinary RS-232 (serial) or USB cable instead? What's the benefit(s) with the infrared thingy?
