My service centre provided me with the following info that others may find helpful:
IN CONVERTING THE T68M TO A T68I YOU NEED TO BE AWARE THAT ALL DATA STORED IN THE PHONE WILL BE WIPED AND IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO BACK UP SUCH DATA BEFORE THE UPDATE IS CARRIED OUT.
YOU WILL GAIN THE FULL FUNCTIONALITY OF A T68I THIS WILL INCLUDE
MMS
Picture Album (My pictures) with increased memory allocation for images
Sound Browser (List of sounds stored in the phone, i.e. eMelodies, iMelodies and AMR files)
Picture CLI (Possible to associate a picture with a contact and display the picture upon incoming /
call)
Viewfinder with Communicam MCA 20
New games
Notes
Screensaver
New preloaded wallpapers
New and more advanced ring melody composer
Text formatted SMS (Possible to add e.g. bold and italic text)
Customisable contacts (possible to select which information to see in a contact)
FirstName - LastName concept discarded
Only one name in phonebook in T68i
SMS chat
GPRS (p-channels)
JPEG support
Animated GIF support
YOU WILL LOSE DATA ON THESE AREAS AND SOME FUNCTIONALITY
Calendar
High scores to the games
Own edited/downloaded background pictures
Own edited/downloaded ring signals
Own edited RMS pictures
Own defined shortcuts in the menuPhonebook
Saved CB (Cell Broadcast messages)
SMS templates
SyncML settings
Tetris (will be replaced with another game)
VoiceMemos
Voice tags
THIS IS A ONE WAY CONVERSION IT CANNOT BE CHANGED BACK TO T68M.
ALSO YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO EXCHANGE IT FOR A T68I IF IT BECOMES FAULTY AT A LATER DATE. |

I called Ericsson and they told me there is no update for T68i from a T68 I live in the the U.S |

U.S hasnt got it yet for some strange reason!!!!!!! in most things they are more advanced but not in Mobile-Technology
