They say you should never judge a man by the size of his lens -- instead judge a man by the size of his penis. But if the former were the axiom on which we relied, I would be sure to purchase one unit of the Kowa Prominar TD-1, a turgid beast of a camera with a, for some, jaw-droppingly large 30x optical zoom lens. Sure, you can pick up massive, glistening cylinders like that at almost any urban street corner, or any other reputable camera shop, but since the TD-1 is digital -- megapixels, my boy; 3.14 of the finest ever to grace an SD card -- there's something more progressively pleasing about carrying something this colossal, if cumbrous, around in your pants, or backpack.
