Hi there...
I got a k700i on saturday and I decided to buy a bluetooth dongle so i could transfer files between the phone and my pc.
I have this MSI BToes dongle. When i load up Mobile Phone Monitor and try to find the phone to use send file the list of phones is just empty. I do have bluetooth on on the phone it just cant find it!!!
Any ideas?
Cheers

I have another BT issue with K700i and other SE phones.
When I transfer an image with BT to another phone (K700, Z600) the image proportions are changed. The image gets lower height and more width.
But, when I trasferred the same image from my K700 via IR the image kept its proportions.
I have tried this with:
K700 -> K700
K700 -> Z600
Weird?! Why? |

Ensure you enable the right COM ports.
This is a common issue. |

The problem I describe comes when you transfer from one phone to another via bluetooth. From my K700 to Z600 or to K700. Phone to phone. |

DarkElf,
this happend when u try to send a picture from P800 or P900 to others phone.
i guess this must have something to do with the "screen size" as for K700 screen size is bigger than Z600. it's not a bug, do not worry. |

It is a bug because I get the same effect when I send from a K700 to a K700, and they really have the same screen size.
The problem arise when, as I wrote before, I send from:
a K700 to K700
or/and
a K700 to Z600

just for curiosity I have tried some of this. I sent an image via BT and IR from my K700 to my PC. both ended up on the PC as identical files. I then transferred the picture I sent via BT back to the phone using BT and its characteristics were again identical.
I then sent the picture via BT from my K700 to my T630 and again it ended up with the same characteristics on the T630
in all cases the picture is 640x480 and size 82kb

I can confirm it works fine from my iPAQ 4150 running windows mobile 2003 but unfortunately I don't have an older iPAQ any more to help any further except to suggest that you recheck the settings in your new phone
