quick reply is a "nice to have" feature, but not a neccessity as it just saves one single click on the reply button to get to the reply box

I don't use any other forums so I don't know what u mean but what can be quicker than just pressing once on 'Post Reply'? Also Esato does have 'Quote' button.

It's a button on where you click it a new windows popups down and you can enter your message, that way you don't request a new page as you enter your message in the same page as the thread so it's easier to comment on multiple messages as you have them all right above and it may save some bandwith I think |

Thx. Sounds interesting, but actually thats all. Other forums may have some such features, but the success doesnt depend on the those things.

I'll be happy with a quick reply form at the bottom of the topic page.

Perhaps we could have a suggestion thread, where we can post ideas that we would like to see implemented on Esato?
A quick reply feature isn't really a necessity, but I suppose it could be useful.
I still think the 'buddy list' idea is a good one, it's being discussed in this thread: http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=56408
