Got to test the 9500 at the internet show in Earls court this week. Its a pretty flash phone, great screen and form factor. The UI is very quick and easy to use and everything was easy to use on it (even the keyboard!!). It was noticably heavier than a p900 and about an inch longer.

REal sh*tter was - that you can only access the memory card by taking off the battery cover. Wifi was great and found the phone a bit easier to handle than the p900 in terms of using the phone with the 'flip closed. Internet browsing on the screen was also much better than the p900, in terms of readability.

Just hope the true P900 replacement has better features than it, bring on 2 megapixel cameras, wifi, 3g, GPS, high res screen and high speed bluetooth (and a 5 gb microdrive )

I swore I wouldnt buy another Nokia but if the SE replacement isnt worthy i may have to get a 9500. I know the 9500 shouldnt be compared to a p900 but I dont have anything else to compare it to!

I am very sure, as the sun rises in the East, that the Nokia 9500 Communicator will be the talk of the town once it's been released in the market!

Great phone! It will be a hit if they dont overprice it. But still VERY big.

Well i didnt actually get to see the memory card slot - which had me puzzled cos I was handling the device for about 40 mins. I asked the nokia representatives there and they said it was behind the battery cover, which kinda threw me.

Also the phone had 80mb memory on board, and didnt know how it was comprised, maybe 16 on board 64 on card, or 80 on board, they werent too clear on it.

It was really excellent for browsing and even using excel raised an eyebrow!

Very very long- its like seeing a stretched hummer go down a london street!

@zebi - Nice image! I will certainly go for this one despite it's being bulky! Sure looks and functions like a mini-laptop!

I think its already outdated ....No megapixel camera or zoom... Quarter four would be too late for its release

Played with the 9500 couple of days back. My first impression, form factor is good, very light. The nokia slugginess is still inherent, it is quite annoying if you have used the P900 or the XDA II.

It's a hotswap MMC. You don't have to turn the phone off or the take the battery off. It's in the backside of the phone under battery cover. It has 80 MB memory on board + 128 MMC. So, the sales package has 208 MB of memory.
