The following came through my e-mail.

A winning combination for mobile developers at JavaOne

To create the ultimate application, you need devices that let you maximize the capabilities of the most sophisticated software. At stand number 1332 in the JavaOne Pavilion, Sony Ericsson will show you the very latest range of MIDP 2.0 and Java 3D-capable devices.

This is also your opportunity to compare some of the cool games already submitted to the Sony Ericsson Game Developers Challenge 2004 with some of the best-in-class games already available from Sony Ericsson Developer World partners. This is our Peer-to-Peer Voting Competition, specifically designed for JavaOne. Play the games and vote. And by doing so, you'll not only receive a small token of our appreciation, but you'll also be entered in a prize drawing for a Sony Ericsson K700. To win, all you need to do is play and vote!

If you're a Java developer, you won't want to miss the presentation by Hanz Hager, our Java Product Manager, who'll talk about passing the Java Verified™ testing. This intermediate-level presentation about the industry-endorsed Java certification program and Unified Testing Criteria (UTC) will take place at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 29th at JavaOne's Bird of a Feather Session, number 3887. If you create Java applications - this is an essential session to attend.

As always, throughout JavaOne, members of the Sony Ericsson Developer World management team will be on hand to provide you with the most up-to-date information on what we're doing for Java developers and discuss technical information on MIDP 2.0 and Java 3D devices as well as business opportunities.

Sony Ericsson is always up for a challenge. To demonstrate this, Mikael Nerde, Head of Sony Ericsson Developer World, will take part in the JavaOne Java Chef competition. Whilst wearing a chef's hat, he has maximum 5 minutes on stage to explain and demonstrate to the JavaOne audience why a newly released Sony Ericsson phone is the hottest device in show. We're confident he will cook up a storm.

Sony Ericsson regards JavaOne as a place to do business - and have fun. Come to stand number 1332 and do a little bit of both.

Best regards,
The Sony Ericsson Developer World team
