I had a 2-day old phone that's been stolen before. It was a nokia anyway. I was forced to buy a new 1 (my 1st SE phone) afterwards.

I had my new t610 in college. It was on the cafeteria table and i turned around to say hello to a friend and the phone was absent. I contacted the local authorities but bullshit. Now i manage to cope with a t230 and later i will upgrade/downgrade to a 6220

I can consider myself lucky...im on my fifth phone and the other 4 have either been lost or broken.
I kind of stole one at work once, well a customer lost it, but he didnt say anything about it, so i didnt give him it. I dont think it was really worth the hassle...it was a 3410, so i sold it 2 months later for 35€

Had my telnet phone stolen at school in 1997 by the school bully.
A few days later I had a phone call saying it was found.
When I went over to collect it it was only the bullies mother who 'found it'.

waiters can be real b*stards at times...
i was working as a waiter when god brought a nokia 3410 to my hands...
and no, i did not steal it!!
i found it, but didnt give it back to its owner, is all he had to do was ask.
I have never steal anything..well only as a personal revenge when im pissed off with the shop owner or something, but i never steal anything i need or want. [addsig]

@lynx69 - Looks like the perpetrator is more interested with your 'contacts' rather than your fone - perse!

I had my Nokia 3310 stolen (i think about 3-4 years ago) by a teenager who rode by me on a bike and snatched it out of my hand while i was taking it out of my pocket. I was shocked as it happened so quickly, but i tried running after him shouting on top of my lungs ... "oi ... someone stop him, he's stolen my mobile ... please stop him!" but i couldn't catch him as he just was too fast and rode off and i by that time i was out of breath. No one really done anything to help me either.

I did manage to stop a person who did witness me running after someone on a bike and asked to use thier mobile to ring up Orange to get my phone barred straight away and in that time mobiles could only been barred on thier network. I know i changed the default security numbers to my own and had a sim pin number and phone lock activated so the thief would have needed to get the phone security unlocked in order to use the phone on other networks.

I was so upset and shocked of what happened. But thank-god i had Orange Care insurance and also my boy-friend was working in CPW at that time so he manage to arrange to get a replacement within the next day which was a Nokia 3330 (but had to pay an excess fee of £25).

I was walking to my boy-friend's the next day and i swear saw a boy who looked very familiar to the one who was on the bike and snatched my mobile, but i couldn't be sure as it just happened so quickly! I still wonder what happened to my Nokia 3310 and if its still out there being using.
