The black battery contrasts sharply with the gray magnesium frame so I decided to paint the battery gray. Ok ok, it doesn't match perfectly but it looks much better now.

In my opinion you ruined your phone... Except from the fact that i liked the black battery on a T39 making a contrast, i think that having now only the clip with the black color is much worse....

The color idea is great, but that paint you used is ugly.

you really think it's ugly? i think it looks great! haha... must be some chromatic aberration with the camera
well i've gotta admit i'm not too satisfied with it. what kind of paint should i use on it? wait gotta buy a new battery first... |

Try to find out if the upgrade can be easily performed there without any hitches. Read some of the threads here in Esato about experiences on the upgrade. In my country £60 is a large difference. Good luck!

Sorry about the earlier post, it was intended for another thread. But about painting your battery, is this advisable? Your phone's warranty might get void because of this.

I always thought that phone looked like they forgot to put a back on it, not sure whether painting it silver made it much better though?! |

Yeah I thought that as well when I had my T28.
Don't think the phone looks too bad with the silver back although I would never paint it myself.
