I`ve got a T68I with the latest `ware and i want to see what`s in my inboxes. I`ve read how to do it at opheim.com, but that didn`t help me. I even mailed him, but his answers didn`t help either. Do i have to subscribe on some mail-thing with Telenor? If someone can help me with this and maby tell me how to connect to my mailservers at www.iname.com and http://epost.portalen.no/ step by step i would be very very happy!
Btw this phone is the best ever!

Do you have any data-service connected to your subscription with telenor, like gprs or mobile data?

Ok. I have a t39 but the menues should be nearly the same.
You have to set up an account for each of your e-mail accounts.
Try this:
1. Go to messages
2. Choose e-mail, then options
3. Select edit account
4. Choose add new?
5. Type in an account name ie "iname" or "portalen"
6. In connect using you choose your GPRS settings
7. Both portalen and iname use pop3 so choose that as your protocol
8. in inc. server (incoming server) you write the servername for the mail account you're setting up. It's "epost.portalen.no" for portalen and "pop1.mail.com" for iname.
9. Incoming port should be 110
10. mailbox is actually your username. Here you enter your username for hte account. For iname, if your e-mail is someone@somewhere.com, your username is "someone:somewhere.com#iname.com" and for portalen it's your e-mail address ie. "someone@portalen.no"
11. under password you enter your password for your account.
12. the outgoing server is "epost.portalen.no" for portalen and "smtp1.mail.com" for iname.
13. the outgoing port should be 25
14. under e-mail address you enter your e-mail address
15. under from name enter your name
16. under signature you dont have to enter anything, only if you want to add a standard signature to your e-mails
17. if you want to save your sent messages you can select copy outgoing. Here you enter an e-mail address where all your messages you send will be sent to as well. This way you can save them for future reference.
18. If you want your phone to check for new e-mail messages with certain intervals you can select that under Check interval
Hope this will help. Otherwice post eventuall error messages here... |

tried to set up a new gprs-account but i can`t seem to find the dns for telenor. on http://www.dmu.no/t68/t68eposthjelp.htm i found one that was too short,and on opheim.com i found another, witch one is the right one? very gratefull for your help!

As you seem to have trouble with DNS try to use the IP number instead of the servername.
iname:
pop1.mail.com = 205.158.62.63
smtp1.mail.com = 205.158.62.78
portalen:
epost.portalen.no = 195.159.1.198
outgoing and incoming same address

No there was no luck with this setup either. Read somewhere that i had to call Telenor and make them open my sim for gprs data. Do i really have to do this? I am allready using gprs for wap! |

I think that you have to open GPRS Data for your SIM-card. GPRS Wap and GPRS Data are two different things. |
