i just got my new cable today to link my pc wiv my T610,the software installed, the newest verison off of SE website. except the software doesnt find my fone, i dnt think my phone is even recognising the cable is in?! how do u tell?

is it ment to have a little image or a sound that it makes to tell u the cable has been inserted??

this is really annoying!!

PLZ HELP!!

serial cable or USB cable?

Have you configured your PC to the correct COM port?

What software exactly are you using?

Did you downlaod MPM (Mobile Phone Monitor) in addition to your actual software? You will need this as this is the bit that takes care of actual connections, while other software (suh as My images) takes care of transferring.

well datacables tend to be cheaper than ir and since he's already got one.... we'd best try and help him make it work don't you think?

yes... It annoys me when people respond to cable questions by "get a BT" or "get an IR". There is no reason why a data cable would not function. It is the easiest to configure compared to BT/IR. It doesn't do everything IR/BT does, but those who ask already had it.

Ir is better than cable i just plugged in mind xp detected it and i started using it same time(without any software)
