Can i send ringtones/Pics Via infrared to other phones or devices other than Sony Ericssons ?? |

I've sent ringtones and pictures to my friends motorola v500 via bluetooth, so i should imagine they would work over infrared. However, many companies phones (like samsungs) have cripplied IR, so it's all messed up and they can't send stuff by IR, but they might be able to recieve. |

I've sent to nokias but cannot receive from nokias from either IR or BT. no IR problems with computers. |

Actually se does not have crippled ir. Thus is can send and recieve. It is the other phones which are problematic.

Ive sent pictures and ringtones to computers, Nokias, Samsungs, Siemens and other SE phones.. and they all worked fine when using IR.
The only annoying bit is the silly placement of the IR sensor on some phones.

You can send to most series 60 Nokias and only a few series 40(6220 and 7600), I've also sent and recieved to a Moto a835. |
