FMA question: How to back up/restore all phonebook contacts |

If you click Tools->Import or Export you'll see option All(back up/restore phone), but this option is always grayed so I can not use it.
Any idea?
Ps. I' using T610, everything else works OK (images, file transfers etc.)

Yes, but this is just updating of phonebook on your phone with one on your computer. I can not export/import whole phonebook!

Import/Export All are future functions. They are still on the TODO list.

It all depends on what you really want to do. And I might have misunderstood your intention...
If you really want to use fMA (floAt's Mobile Agent) to import/export from/to certain file formats used by certain applications, then there is probably no simple and straightforward solution.
But if you just want to be able to backup the telephonebook contacts or want a simple flat-file representation of the information it might be worth to check out and make use of the sync(hronize) functionality.
- fMA will most certainly be able to synchronize in both directions, both phone to fMA and fMA to phone.
- fMA stores the telephonebook contacts on your PC in a directory/folder named data\T610 series [...]\dat (relative to the fMA installation directory/folder) in a file named Contacts.SYNC.dat. The file is an ordinary CSV (comma-separated values) file. That comes in handy if you want to change/process the information, either after a download or before an upload and either manually by hand in an editor or automatically by use of an appropriate tool.

use esato's unofficial fMA discussion/support thread for FMA related topics.
you can also try the fMA official support forum.
