Alcatel today launched the OT835.

The One Touch 835 model allows users to attach a five-second video film to a number in their address books, the handset vendor said.

"When you receive a call from that number, the caller's face will appear in motion on the screen," the company said.
Users could also play with this "photo personalization" feature. They could use contrasting colors, or employ a "fuzzy," "oil painting," or "sunset" effect to spruce up those images.
"A variety of frames can be added to the photos from multicolored stripes to flowers and leaves," the handset maker said.

This is the one with 262k screen....this has to be said in order to see how magnificent this phone is

Alcatel makes good phones but with low reliability. I still remember my ot511. Ems, polyphonic ringtones and many little tricks, even voice recording that you can put as ringtone and dynamic memory. But after 6 months the joystic broke down and the phone had a problem with charging. Bought new battery but nothing. Then i connected it to a 12volt transformer and make it work for 2 hours

Alcatel still have some things to make up for, esp when it comes to data change (e.g. BT, email client)
