T68 upgrade - caveat emptor |

I had mine done today by R's in Tottenham. It's all very nice - faster texting, flashier opening animation etc.
BUT
There are a few downsides to all this. Firstly, your data gets wiped out of course. This includes GPRS and data accounts, and getting them working again is a nightmare. I'm on Orange and despite having the settings sent through by Orange themselves, I've had no luck in getting WAP connected via GPRS.
Secondly, and this is one for all Orange users - MMS is not supported by Orange, and there's nothing they can (or will) do to get you up and running. Their take is that they'll address this when or indeed if the T68i comes out on Orange. Never mind the fact that MMS is supposed to be an industry standard...
Oh, and it crashes. A lot. Some menus are bloody slow to access, notably the phone list.
If anyone's got some ideas on MMS, let's hear them!

MMS isnt available yet on any uk network yet(and very few euro networks)o2,voda and TMobile all plan to roll it out by the end of the year,so i assume orange will follow suit. |
