Hi everybody, it must have been posted before, I just can't seem to find it anywhere on the forum on how to use T610 as a modem for PC using GPRS. I do have Bluetooth dongle but all I can find so far is Dial up connection which is apparently not the thing needed.
Can anybody halp with setting up internet connection through GPRS on PC? [addsig]

The easiest way to find aswer to your question is to cantact with your mobile provider! Or try to find some instructions on your providers hompage! They are usually in PDF and it show you step-by-step what to do!

As PPP told first you have to set-up a new modem, than you have to choose the Dial-up networking, you need to connect the followings:
username
password
and a "phone number"

I've answered this one about 4 times this week by inbox and It's all over this place now. *99***1# is the number to put in the dial up bit, and check you phones data account for the user id of your provider, might be a problem finding out the password though. Try just that number and leave them blank first.

BOSSHOGG said to use the phone number *99***1#, I don`t know how is there, or which is the right answer, but...

We are using four different numbers, each phone brand has it`s own:
Nokia: *99#
Siemens: *99***1#
Motorola: *99***2#
Ericsson (SonyEricsson): *99***3#

the number you dial (after the *99***) depends on what data accounts you are using. if your data accounts is 3, then use *99***3#

I posted that number with a 1 because the gprs account is pretty much always the first one on any phone. Followed by mms which is usually always 2. Check your data account to be sure though. *99***1# is for se phones, so is 2 and 3, You're right about *99# for nokia though.

Well, GPRS is free here in Azerbaijan on Bakcell operator (they are beta testing it). So don't think it will hurt my account too much

But anyways, thanks for concern, mate [addsig]

I connect using my t616, everything is cool except no info is downloading when I check te status it shows that data uploads but the download is always 249 from you connect and dosen't move.

Pages and Messeger and everything try to connect but they can't. It shows a speed of 115.2 kbps was wondering if something is wrong because that seems fast to me.

one more question

I use the bluetooth setup from my bluetooth adapter. I don't use the sony ericsson download wizard because when i get to the part for gprs settings it says not enough resources. I have 512mb ram 1.5 gig pentiium M and no programs are running so was wondering how powerful my pc needs to be
