Hi all,

Sorry, I'm another newbie with problems. Can anyone help please.

I have just purchased a Z600 and I'm going crazy trying to 'do' e-mail.

The first problem I have is with the CD that came with the phone. I have tried to install the Communications Suite software on my PC and everytime the installation aborts with the following message:-

"Internal error, failed to copy emos.ini. Aborting setup!"

When I click OK on this error message, the installation just reports that it is removing temporary files and closes. I'm running Windows XP (fully updated). I notice that the file emos.ini is on the CD and not a Windows system file. Any ideas please?.

If anyone is brave enough to bear with me, I have some other quetions about e-mail etc., which I put on another more relavent thread.

Thanks for any help.

Cytech/all,

I tried the latest version.. exactly the same error message

I did a google on the error message and came up with one or two hits. Unfortunately in other languages, but it makes me feel that at least I'm not alone.. not that it helps!

hi, i could solve the pro with our sys administrator. be sure that the owner of the pc is the outlook user and the installer. so when i set myself as admin i could install the program.

good luck,
kowi

btw: believe it or not, un- and re-installing helped me making the synchronization run, as well as removing all connection icons derived from the xp bluetooth wizard and then trying to connect (after restart)

I would like to know if someone else also has problems synchronizing sony ericsson Z 600 with PC. I could not download the comm suite from the CD provided by the manufacturer as it could not copy emos.ini but then I successfully downloaded it from SE website. I am using a craddle to synchronize..I am not sure if that is the problem but it is unable to make a connectivity btw my mobile and teh PC. I have checked the ports alright..I use palm handheld so I am familiar with synchronization procedure but never had problems like this.
I don't have bluetooth in my PC so cannot use that way to synchronize...

i will really appreciate any suggestions anyone might have.

thanks

Best wishes
