Ok, my 3month old headset started having nasty speaker problems, so I returned it and got a replacement.
New one seems to have a a newer firmware. Quite improved, I must say.
Maximum volume seems to be increased, the incoming call sound in the headset no longer slows down when you open a connection while it plays, connection to PC seems to be stabler... Just to name a few changes.
All in all many minor refinements.
FWIW, the old headset's box said "FSBluetooth332", new one says ""FSBluetooth333". Perhaps a generational indicator...?

Well, it is difficult to say, but all in all reception with the phone is abt the same (never had problems there), and somewhat improved with the PC.
But, because of all the varrying opinions I see abt the same products from various users, I don't know how reception varies from headset to headset, let alone from generation to generation.
