Hello guies,
I want to convert .amr and .awb ringtones received from a Nokia 6600 to *.mid ringtones for my Nokia 3650.
How do I do that?
I didn't find any software doing that (maybe I wasn't lucky or didn't knew where to search). The only softwares I've found are doing the opposite of what I want.
Thanks. |

There's no way you can convert wave audio to event based audio, like MIDI, with decent outcome. |

Well if www.logosonnerie.com propose those ringtones for the Nokia 3650 too, they can't sound that bad, the ones I want to convert are some of the 'Gags et Bruitages' section ringtones, and more precisely 3 of the 'Ispice di counasse' category, where you here a short ringtone and a guy immitating ben laden sayin for example : 'ispice di counasse dicroche' (hang up idiot). |

I asked the same as you couple a weeks ago, and it is completely imposible to make this kind of convertion,.... this question is been taken up so often, that I suggest it goes as a FAQ question... if it's not already there...

I'm not saying that they offer conversion services, I'm saying that they provide ringtones to the format compatible with your phone when you buy a ringtone from them.
I used my friend's Nokia 6600 to download those ringtones because my SIM Card was not compatible with WAP/GPRS, my phone operator (SFR) is sending me one. But now that I have the ringtones I want, I just need to make them work on my phone. |

Ringtone Creator 2.1 seems to be able to do it.
But if some folks here already tried to do what I want to do and failed, I'll just have to buy those ringtones from my phone when I'll have in hand my new SIM Card. |

why dont u just put the tones on the memory card of the 6600 then swap the card into your 3650 then put them onto the phone memory? |

Now, that I'll be receiving a new sim card, I'll download them with my own cell phone line, remember that those ringtones are not free, they cost 2€+WAP Call each. |
