I've got a T39m and a Jornada 680 (handheld computer, running Windows CE 3.0). I want to send contacts between these two devices using IR, but I can't establish any contact between them.

The IR is activated on the T39 and I have activated IR in the handheld (using Contacts [Pocket Outlook]). I understand that I need some software that supports the T39 in the handheld, is this correct? What software (and where do I get it)?

My firmware version for T39: R2G (should I consider an update)? Is it free to update the firmware (got guarantee from Elgiganten, Sweden)? How long time does it take?

can be an idea to update the software... latest is R4A008. It's free of charge and takes about 10-15min.

Went into the site you said and looked up the service locations, http://www.telesupport.se/service/servicemek_swe.htm, no, can't find that Elgiganten has any flashpoint.

I don't want to pay for the flash, what could I do?

doesn't matter which servicepoint you visit... it's free of charge as long as there is warranty on the phone...

So I could visit the flashpoint that is closest to my home, but I should bring the guarantee-papers?

What do I get in the update?

you really don't need them, but bring just in case...

you don't get much more new functions, just a better working phone

Okay, I will do as you say.

The SMS-function feels a bit slow, will this be updated?
