I did a search for networks today using a 3G handset and it not only managed to find all the current UK GSM networks, but also Orange, T-Mobile and Vodafone 3G networks too.

vodafone have been trialling their 3g network to large business customers for a few months. I almost got onto the trial but at the last minute it fell through.

the latest I heard was that it was delayed for general release for a couple more months as they work out some problems
