Just a quick one, my new t68 has the common problem of not being able to sysnc with XP and IR, so I picked up a data cable for a T28 from my local shop (they said it would work) but I cannot get it to work. Is this right cable and do I need package 5 to make it work ?
Thanks in advance. |

I'm using data cable ( DRS 10 ) for both my T68 and T39, and they work just fine. You'll have to download package 5 ( T68 ) coz it contain the modem drivers and cable inst. stuff.
hope this help. |

The thing is that Ericsson does not support the XP software yet. |

Yep , for some it works, but it still is not fully compatible with the XP. |

The manufacturer confirms to me that the DRS-10/11 compatible cables (non-Ericsson ones) are not compatible to T65/68 yet. These compatible cables can only be used for models up to T29.
By the way, how much is the Ericsson DRS-10/11 at your countries? It's selling over us$30 at Hong Kong, really expensive!! |

That could explain it ! spoke to the shop today as well and said the non-genuine ones only work with win98 !!! I think they just made that bit up.
Looks like I'll have to buy a genuine one, anybody reccomend a supplier on the net (i'm in the UK)
Thanks |

Here are some sites I have found:
http://www.expansys.com/accessory.asp?code=ERIC_T68
They do 3 cables
DCU-10 USB £47
RS 232 £22.12
HCD-10 Data Cable £17.63
What is the difference, can anyone tell me?

Has anyone used the MA-600 infra red adapter? it's only GB£10 more than the data cable, and you can use it with any IrDA phone, PDA, etc. However it says that it's not a 'pure' infra red adapter. Does this mean that it doesn't work with laptops, etc?
Also, what is the software like that comes with it. Is it worth it for Ericsson phones? |

I purchased a non Ericsson cable from www.gadgets-galore.net/Fone_Data_Suite/fone_data_suite.html
For £24.99 it comes with some software and a free USB charger cable (seperate from rs232) I found it works fine with my T68 inXP and the Ericsson software |

Thanks I'll give that a go £29.99 not bad as a paid £22.00 for one that doesn't work!
Does the software that came with the cable work as the main page says it does, but when you go to latest software, T68 is not there !
