T237, need compatible cable for ringtones |

Just recently purchased a T237 and using SE's Image Editor and an old serial T28 data cable was able to successfully upload images to the handset.
I downloaded floAt's Mobile Agent in hopes of uploading some midi ringtones to my phone but it was unable to detect my handset, I tried COM1 through COM4 and modified the baud setting to 9600 as the FMA FAQ suggests and still no recognition 
Is it the T28 cable that is to blame, maybe the software? Any other application I could try that can upload ringtones to the phone?
If it is the cable that is to blame, would a USB data cable for the T226 work for my T237?
Does FMA support ringtones and the T237 and/or does any other software?
