hiya
i read the post where someone got yahoo mail working with the messages section of the t68 (pop not wap). i was wondering if anyone knew how to do this with uk vodafone and vizzavi account or yahoo.co.uk

I also had difficulty with Vizzavi. Sorted when pop & smtp servers are entered in numerals and not "words" as recommended by Vizzavi.
Full settings are:-
Dial up number: 07836900884
dial up user name: vodafone@vodafone.net
E-mail user name: Your Vizzavi username (not Vodafone)
E-Mail Password: Your Vizzavi password
pop server: 62.213.128.80
smtp server: 62.213.128.92
E-Mail address: Your Vizzavi e-mail address
data rate; 9.6
dial type: analogue.
This works for me fine for GSM (which should be selected when settingup the account in "Data Comms" in "Settings".

I got it to work when I made the following changes:
pop.mail.yahoo.com changed to 216.136.173.10
smtp.mail.yahoo.com changed to 216.136.173.12
First try to ping the pop.mail.yahoo.com to verify the IP adress. |
