This morning, the Carphone Warehouse announced that t68i upgrade for t68m's is now available.

All service centres have the ability to upgrade t68's.

Got mine done this morning. (what an anti-climax - multiple backgrounds, MMS that can't be used - how can I contain myself?!)

Had mine done at culverhouse cardiff at 4:30, I was the first one that they had done, the phone is quicker but it did re-name all of my numbers surname, first name and a different entry for each number took me ages to sort it out.

all in all though much better after the upgrade

your phone book should have been wiped out if you got the i upgrade, along with every other personal setting in the phone and no more 1st name / last name, only 1 name when you save in the phone book, are you sure they did the proper i upgrade?

New SW have only 1 for NAME, no 1st or last. Maybe it's
better to exchange vcard with other brands phone.
So it's normal & is say on FAQ of T68m Convertion.

The reason I know that the 'i' software upgrade has been released is that I work at the Carphone Warehouse.

After checking with several sources at work, not all stores have been notified about the upgrade - but all should know by midweek.

With regards linart's comment that "if they had any brains they wouldnt be working in a mobile phone store..." - whilst I accept that many who work in mobile phone stores are not the sharpest tool in the box, we are not all brain dead!
