The search function on esato sucks, I never find what im looking for even if I type the title of the thread.

Someone agree?

search for five words: search function on esato sucks

and its #1.

you're searching for content, not the title, and its good at searching out CONTENT.

What if you dont know the content?

For example when I look for a technical inquiry and cant find the answer, I post and then everyone flames me.

that's doable already.

notes in the esato forum search function:
Quote:
By default, the search engine will find the most relevant post to the search term. Just like Google do. But you may want to be more spesific and use some of these operators:

+ A leading plus sign indicates that this word must be present in every post returned.
- A leading minus sign indicates that this word must not be present in any post returned.
* An asterisk is the truncation operator. Unlike the other operators, it should be appended to the word, not prepended.
" The phrase, that is enclosed in double quotes ", matches only rows that contain this phrase literally, as it was typed.

Examples:
apple banana - find posts that contain at least one of these words.
+apple +juice - find posts that contain both words.
+apple -macintosh - find posts that contain the word "apple" but not "macintosh"
apple* - find "apple", "apples", "applet".
"some words" - find "some words of wisdom", but not "some noise words".

This does not work!!!!
try searching for +praia+p800 ...
Do you see the "praia" word in the first posts?

you need to put a space between the two words...

+praia +p800

The Search button on the search page on html light just gives "Invalid location" on P900. Anyone else get this?

It pi**es you off when you get numbties telling you to search when you cant cos the Esato site is severely flawed.
