Majesco has announced the GBA Messenger, an add-on for the Game Boy Advance that will let users send text messages over RF from up to three miles away (at least in rural areas). Users type to each other with a virtual keypad, and the GBA Messenger can even receive and store messages while the GBA is off. It plugs into the back of the GBA (like the wireless Game Boy cable replacement pictured right), piggybacks off of the GBA's battery and should be able to run for up a week at a time. Majesco intends to demo the technology at next week's Electronic Entertainment Expo.
