I used my new p900 for 7 days, suddenly after switching off, the device failed to start. When I switched on the phone , only the se logo appeared and the operating system wouldn't boot/start.
SE service centre knows how to fix the problem right away. Just flash the memory and upgrade the software .Everything will be back to normal but the data will be lost.
They said they find this problem plenty in p800 but less in p900.I know this case has been discussed before in esato forum, some said this problem is due to the shortage of the internal memory of the phone. But there is no definite answer from the service centre regarding why this problem occurs and how to prevent it from happening .
My opinion :
p900 is a very good phone but sadly it comes wit a major flaw.Imagine for the business people , when they are away in a business trip. If this happen to them, cannot use the phone ,memory gone.
SE should make the phone come with soft and hard reset button as in that of pocket pc's. |

well i never took my p800 to the service point, it rarely crashes, and i before i got the ms duo i filled it to the last kb so i don't think that's the reason not to buy the phone, i still think it's more reliable than ppc.... though i haven't tested 2003.... |

As I said that does not happened to every phone. And if the service centre could tell me what cause this problem and how to prevent it from happening, i would continue using the phone. I can not afford to loose my data while i am On the go. That is my experience. And my experience in using pocket pc...i experience crashes but never that severe until you have to send the device to service. Regarding the internal memory shortage, I do not make it up. It is what some people have said in one of the esato forum.

Dear ladies and gentleman,
I just come back from SE service centre. The problem has been identified and it is to do with the hardware actually.
This coming Monday, SE will replace my p900 with a brand new unit. Therefore, in the spirit of sharing the knowledge on ESATO, I hereby take back all my bad comments and my disappointment toward SE P900. It's because SE finally could identify the problem(hardware) and not caused by the instability of the operating system as I feared. |

every phone can have problems.
i have alot of phones, and i only had one problem. once my T610 just went dead. it was one of the first on the market. but SE was so kind to just replace it. thats something nokia for example won't do!
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA |
