Saw the Motorola Bluetooth Headset in Singapore |

Was browsing in People's Park Complex in Chinatown when I came across the cool device. Must say it outshines the HBH-15 where form factor is concerned. Comes with a leather pouch and charger. The charger plugs directly into the device - a plus point over the ericsson counter-part.
Really small and cool. 2 shops carry it as far as I know. The cheaper of the 2 shops quoted S$310.
Was hesitant due to report that voice quality is not as clear. Apart from that, much of the T68 voice commands are lost through the Motorola piece.
But I must say the form factor is really appealing. Only the HBH-30 (not available yet) could top that or even the one from Jabra. |

What is so special about the HBH-30? It looks just like the HBH-15, but a little smaller and I don't know about any differences....
That's also very expensive for the headset.... on www.expansys.com it is only about 150$
It does look nice! |

the best thing about HBH-30 is it streamline design tht looks like T68m (sorry not T68i because of different colour) and HBH-30 itself didn't use a special charger like HBH-15, instead it use any Ericsson charger come with your phone just like HBH-20
It was showed in picture posted on line and also if you visit to CEBIT. |

I currently have to Motorola Bluetooth Headset, apart from the problems i had pairing it to my phone (T68) the sound quality is great. The headpiece does have a a low volume though but if i use it in car and anywhere with no one talking in the background. Its really not as bad as it sounds. Personally i find it great if you like to have the freedom of the bluetooth thenology or just feel like a star trek character with the cool blue lights flashing away from the headset (yes, thats why i bought it! ). Personally considering the prices and comparisons to all bluetooth headsets the motorola bluetooth headset definately stands out! |

My dad got it for free
He complained about his nokia 3210, and got a t39m and hbh-15 from his firm.
Then he complained about bad sound in the hbh-15 and got the motorola hbh-30.
It really looks cool, and the blue led is sweet.
Then, the mic is foldable so that the headset just becomes a round thingie.
And the cover for it is small also, the cover to hbh-15 makes the headset really big. |

ha ha ha...
I was laughing when I read the guy's father got a Motorola HBH-30...
To clear the confusion, Motorola bluetooth headset is developed by Motorola wheras the HBH-30, is being developed by Ericsson which has yet to be released. The latter is used as a comparison to the Motorola headset earlier in the post. |

yup, cover issue was referring to the casing of T68 and HBH-30 looks very synchronised...(especially if you are using Lunar Grey)
Well I thought HBH-15 is like HBH-10 tht needs a special charging unit to charge the headset. HBH-30 only requires you to flip around the headset to the place where the speaker is and you will see the charging connector...unlike HBH-20 tht have a rubbery cover to hide the connector. They also come with some thing cute to let you park the headset in the car...but i think you won;t do tht in tropical country.
ELGATO post just makes me wonder whether he really owns a Motorola headset or not.

I now have the Motorola and it does look cool, but that's about it.... the sound is so low you can't bloody hear it if there is a slight sound coming from anywhere else.....

Does anyone know if the Motorola unit is noise-canceling ?

It's crap!!! I'm really pissed off with mine!!! I have two so it's not just mine. It's not noise cancelling, its volume is too low and the standby time isn't nearly as long as it claims to be!!! The Ericsson HBH-15 has a better standby time!!!! Absolute CRAP, wouldn't recommend it to anyone!!!!! |
