my bank used to have its wap banking, but took it offline about a year ago. I used to use it quite a lot actually. Found it really easy to use and came in very handy.
They have telephone banking, but its just not the same |

current mobile banking system using ordinary sms is not secure enough for banking transactions, the reason is that data passed through normal sms is not encrypted.
4 types of mobile banking:
WAP-banking: micro websites following the wap standard, in many ways, this model is quite similar to internet banking.
SMS-banking: based on GSM standard service to exchange text messages, with the customer sending as sms with a request to the bank and getting the desired information in response, such as information on account balance, interest rate information, etc.
M-banking: with PDA is designed for mobile phone accessories that have capacity to store and execute individual software, therefore it can process more complex calculations, etc. processing loan applications.
M-banking with SIM TOOL KIT (STK): information is stored in the sim card, such as personal data base, authorization of customers, and additinal individual applications.
STK is a menu based system, customer can easily remember rather than inpit data by themselves, menu-based mobile banking is secure
